Managing Director, Institutional Services
New York, NY - (310) 448.6247
I am a Managing Director in Institutional Services at William O’Neil + Co., based in New York, where I have spent the past decade working with large institutional investors. I work closely with hedge funds and asset managers, helping clients interpret shifts in market regimes, sector leadership, and market structure and translate those developments into actionable trade ideas across equities, ETFs, futures, and options.
I began my career in London as a UK equity strategist during the volatile markets of the 1990s, a period that included the emerging market debt crises, the first technology bubble, and the launch of the Euro. Navigating those cycles developed a lasting interest in how macroeconomic forces, sector leadership, and market structure interact across global equity markets.
The introduction of the single currency brought increased international interest in European equities, and I began managing relationships with U.S. funds expanding their presence in Europe. That work ultimately led me to New York, where I focused on providing international and U.S. equity coverage to institutional investors.
At William O’Neil + Co., I work closely with portfolio managers and traders seeking differentiated perspectives on market leadership, trend structure and trade expression across multiple instruments. My work focuses on translating shifts in market breadth, sector leadership, and institutional positioning into specific equity, ETF, and derivatives trade ideas using the William O’Neil investment discipline.
I remain deeply interested in how long cycles in politics, technology, and human behavior influence financial markets.
My wife Elizabeth and I have been married for 25 years, and we have three children.
