What continues to draw me to William O’Neil + Company is the firm’s unwavering commitment to process, intellectual honesty, and continuous improvement—qualities that matter just as much as performance over the long run.

Executive Vice President, chief investment strategist

Los Angeles, CA - (646) 690-8265

My role at William O’Neil + Company is to help shape the firm’s investment outlook and themes while overseeing our global research organization. I work closely with a team of more than 40 analysts worldwide, applying the O’Neil Methodology to identify emerging opportunities across markets and market cycles.

I’ve spent more than 25 years managing equity strategies across hedge funds, mutual funds, and institutional portfolios. Before stepping into my current role, I served as Senior Portfolio Manager at O’Neil Global Advisors, managing discretionary U.S. equity strategies focused on small- and mid-cap growth. Earlier in my career, I ran a long/short equity hedge fund at Folger Hill Asset Management and held senior portfolio management roles at Westfield Capital Management and The Boston Company, where I managed growth strategies across multiple market environments. Each role reinforced the importance of discipline, risk management, and learning from experience.

I earned my degree in American Studies from the University of Virginia and am a Chartered Financial Analyst. I also enjoy sharing perspectives on markets and investing through writing and media appearances, including contributions to Forbes.com and interviews with Bloomberg Radio, Reuters TV, and Barron’s.

Outside of work, I’m involved in the arts and health care communities. I serve on the film and video acquisition committee at the Whitney Museum, sit on the board of the New York Asian Film Festival, and participate on the pediatric advisory council at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors—sailing, surfing, rowing, and swimming—and spending time with my family.
