As a Client Services Consultant at William O’Neil + Company in London, I’m excited to support our client relationships in Europe and beyond. Each client’s needs are unique, which is why it’s important to listen carefully and connect with them to understand their priorities.
Even though I live in London now, Southern hospitality is in my DNA. I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Alabama for college. I also lived in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina before I ventured west to Scottsdale, Arizona.
I double majored in Marketing and Spanish at The University of Alabama. Roll Tide! My grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles all went there too, so I’m actually the fourth generation in my family to attend. I studied Spanish because I love the language and wanted to study abroad to immerse myself in the culture. And I majored in Marketing because I wanted skills that would transfer to any industry. A big part of marketing is knowing how to effectively communicate and that is something that comes into play every day.
I’m a people person which makes working in client services a natural fit. Working in finance is a new venture for me, but my client services background and knowledge of analytical products and programs have really shortened the learning curve.
I might be a trend starter. Before yoga was popular, I was probably the only 11-year-old renting instructional yoga VHS tapes from the public library and practicing in my living room. From running to hot yoga, my health kick is still going strong after all these years.
Never stop learning. Some people might find cooking to be a chore, but I love to cook and I do it at least six nights a week. It challenges me to examine and learn new processes and explore food from places all over the world—even places I haven’t been to yet. I’m a vegetarian, so cooking allows me to make interesting vegetarian dishes that can sometimes be hard to find at restaurants.
When a firm is able to retain talent, it means something. That’s a huge reason I was attracted to working at William O’Neil. I want to be able to grow with a firm over the long term.
I have a Golden Retriever/Brittany mix named Duke, who is named after my Husband’s alma mater. Duke and I sailed across the Atlantic on the Queen Mary together when we moved him from the U.S. to the U.K. It took seven days, but it was an adventure!
